Għana (folk music)Għana — This is only article with "Għana". Macr86 (talk) 15:23, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - This is a unique technical issue. Note the diacritical mark (in the "h") for the title of the folk music article. This will be an issue for users whose computer keyboards are not capable of making that symbol. So if someone types in plain old "Ghana" they could and should go automatically to the article about the country. But on the other hand, if they really do want this article about the folk music from far outside of that African nation, what if they can't create that special "h" when searching? --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 17:38, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move - Even though this is a technical issue, those without compatible keyboard can still access this page through Ghana (disambiguation) or Ghana (folk music), which can be typed in the search box with ordinary keyboard. --Quest for Truth (talk) 05:26, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The difference between plain 'h' and crossed 'h' is not obvious (except to people who have heard of the Dirac constant: see ħ). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:51, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Is the difference between h and ħ really an issue? After all, there would be a redirect in place; the multiple choices would be presented from the drop-down on the search box; and the disambiguation page already exists. If we can cope with article titles differentiated merely by upper and lower case letters, then surely we can cope with this. Skinsmoke (talk) 03:51, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: The difference between, for example, H and h is a lot more obvious on my browser than between h and ħ, and in the edit box I just noticed that the latter difference is almost completely invisible. Other browsers may do even worse. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 20:23, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, there are plenty of titles which are distinguished only by diacritics, and that doesn't make it any more difficult for people to get to them (as mentioned above).--Kotniski (talk) 14:15, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: Can you give examples? I think that's a very important point. But in this case, using only the diacritic to disambiguate from Ghana the country would very confusing. So it would be good to see whether, and how, these other examples differ from this one. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 20:15, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. We need to do something about diacritics. Having this article at Għana would be confusing. Article titles are supposed to make it as easy as possible to find the correct article. Very interested in how this particular request turns out. Andrewa (talk) 16:41, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
